Pyruvic Acid Peel is designed for lines and wrinkles, tightening saggy skin but also controls oily skin, reduces pore size and sun damage, including actinic keratosis.
This peel can also be used on the chest and neck area to improve fine lines and wrinkles.
Is a Pyruvic Acid Peel good for my skin?
Pyurvic acid has anti-ageing properties but it also counteracts sebum production and helps with melanin regulation therefore great for acne and pigmentation. It is milder than a TCA peel but has a deeper penetration than salisylic acid
What is the best chemical peel for wrinkles?
There are a number of chemical peels that are suitable for treating wrinkles however the choice of peel depends on depth of wrinkles and the down time. TCA peels are ideal for deep lines and wrinkles but have a considerable down time. If this is a problem then other peels such as the pyurvic aid peel, retinol peel and madelic acid peel may be good alternatives.
Are chemical peels permanent?
Chemical peels work by remodelling and exfoliating skin. Deeper peels such as TCA and pyurvic acid peels stimulate the skin to a greater extend and therefore produce better results . More superficial peels such as glycolic and maldelic acid peels exfoliate skin and have no downtime but provide minimal skin remodelling and hence require more frequent treatments.
